In June I went to visit
some friends of mine on
their farm in
Bellingham,WA. I had a
great time. One of the
days I was there I was
able to go off by myself
and to explore what the
area had to offer. In the
morning I drove up into
the still snow capped
mountains and in the
afternoon drove to the
ocean. What a beautiful
state. While exploring I
found a purple starfish
and a fish hiding
underneath a rock at low
tide. I believe it is
called a Plain
Midshipman. The most
interesting thing about
the fish is that when I
picked it up to get a
closer look it started to
hum and then barked at
me. Imagine my
surprise. My
understanding is that
they can hum so loud
that house boaters in
San Fransisco,CA can
feel their house boats
vibrate!
